After finishing this novel, I can truly say this a hidden gem! What a fantastic Sci novel hidden away beneath so many books!

Arra and Etaine are everything and I honestly can’t wait to read more about them and they’re evolving relationship. Throughout the course of the novel I felt that I really got to understand Arra’s inner self and I loved the character development! I’m very excited to learn more about Etaine in the future!

The setting was exquisite I really got an idea of every place we were in. The attention to detail was great and I found A. J.s world building to be really fantastic! I definitely felt I knew the Darkstar galaxy well by the end of the book and we got to see so.

The overall plot of the book was great, obviously I don’t want to spoil too much but discovering Arra’s powers and watching her relationship grow and change with Etaine and the past come to light! AJ has a great way of telling a story and I was seriously engaged the entire time!

In terms of Writing style I absolutely adored this authors! She had a great paced story with engaging writing and I would read all of her books!

In conclusion this is a fantastic start to a series, I cannot wait to continue. It’s engaging, interesting and well put! If you’re looking for a great Sci fi definitely check this one out.
